Did you see the BBC Charles Dickens 'Great Expectations' last night? Yeah the one with Ray Winstone and Gillian Anderson. Brilliant wasn't it? 2012 marks the 200th year since Dicken's birth. The Problem with wrapping paper...

I sent this off to the Design Museum today. In it 100 Christmas Cards. I couldn't resist wrapping it in a sheet of my hand printed wrapping paper, and then taking it to the post office.

I'm pleased to say that my prints are now available from this very cool shop KK Outlet at 42 Hoxton Square, just around the corner from the equally cool PRESENT 140 Shoreditch High St who also stock my cards.

The Problem with the first day of Christmas

I designed these prints to give away to clients and stockists for Christmas 2011. 

I've also printed a few to be used as wrapping paper & in 2012 I hope to produce the first range of wrapping paper to be sold in shops.

   

Alice in wonderland at Tate liverpool

I'm so pleased to say that all the Alice in Wonderland merchandise is now on sale in Tate Liverpool to go alongside the exhibition - all the hard work was well worth it.!

I have nothing to say and I'm saying it.

 

The affordable art fair has come and gone. All the big jobs are complete and a nice calm has descended upon the workshop. I love this quote from John Cage. I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY AND I'M SAYING IT...

You can take a print in with you and have you picture taken with it - and then buy a print.

The Problem wth Stephenson Blake

Part of my new collection of bags, scarves and T shirts. Each bag features the name and address of a well known type foundry followed by the dates they were in business. This bag (all the bags are hand made with heavy weight canvas) features Stephenson Blake, one of the last remaining type foundries (together with DeLittle of York). These bags will be available in Japan and in the UK from the Design Museum and PRESENT (Shoreditch High Street).

The Problem with rounded wood type

This wonderful wood type arrived from the USA last week - no sooner was it unpacked then it was straight to work. The original design for this font dates back to 1838. Yet it looks so incredibly fresh and contemporary. I designed a bag for the up coming (starts November 2011) CONRAN exhibition at the Design Museum last week and then used this font for a fun poster (it was just for me, it won't be on sale at the design museum), it's a real joy to print with.

These 4 limited edition prints (limited to 50 copies) are part of the official merchandise for Tate Liverpool's up coming Alice in Wonderland exhibition in November this year. I've also designed a tea towel, tote bag and an apron - all based around the Queen of Hearts. There is also 4 greetings cards to choose from, everything will be on sale in both Tate Liverpool and Tate Britain.

The problem with a few new prints

This week I've designed a few new prints.
Some small ones to go in the Liberty store - and they will be available in my online shop soon enough.

The Problem with a new clothing label...

I've just finished designing a range of bags, t shirts and scarfs. 

6 bags (3 different styles)
10 t shirts

4 scarves

A total of 20 designs.

The bags, scarves and t shirts are all being hand made and will be ready for printing within 2 weeks.
I can't wait! Till then, here are the labels for the samples.
